About Dr. Najmuddin
Asif Najmuddin, MD, is a board-certified pulmonary and critical care physician proudly serving patients at Fivestar Pulmonary Associates in Allen, Plano, and Mckinney, Texas.
Dr. Najmuddin earned his medical degree at Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan, before moving to the United States to complete an internal medicine residency at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, where he also fulfilled a pulmonary and critical care fellowship and was named chief fellow from 2013 to 2014.
Dr. Najmuddin continued on to serve as the director of the outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation program and medical executive committee (MEC) member at Southern Kentucky Rehabilitation Facility in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
His work experience also includes serving as the chair of the medical executive committee (MEC) at Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital, and a clinical appointment as a pulmonary, critical care, and sleep physician at Graves Gilbert Clinic, both in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Dr. Najmuddin has conducted several research projects and co-authored numerous scientific presentations and publications. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association.
